I love purses, as I’ve said before, and I carry my life in my purse. Wallet, extra treats for the kiddo, pens, makeup, everything goes in my bag. As a result, I wear purses out very quickly and I have problems finding a purse that is both stylish and durable. I’ve finally found one that holds up to my rigorous lifestyle in Harvey’s Seatbelt Bag.

I am working my fingers to the bone these days. So after taking care of my family, then my business, it doesn’t leave much time left for my friends. I miss those girlfriends I usually get to talk with during the course of the week.

We just got back from an interstate driving trip. And, I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know what we would’ve done without the portable DVD player in the car. Honestly, for a 9 hour car trip where the kids are strapped in the entire time (I don’t remember having to do this in our big conversion van—we were all over the place when I was growing up!), the movies are the way to go. But how do you keep the DVDs “safe” while you’re changing them out and throwing things all over the car? D Skin is the answer!

I have this huge garden tub that I admire while I step into the shower every morning. With two small kids, the idea of finding the time to enjoy a long hot bubble bath seems daunting. But I have my hopes.

Well, Ladies, I don’t usually write about beauty products, but this is the best thing since the hair dryer was invented. As a retail salesperson and a mom of two young children, I have zero time to paint my own nails. I also don’t have the time or money to pay a babysitter so that I can go get a manicure. So, when my friend gave me a sample of Avon’s new Instant Manicure, I thought I’d at least give it a try. I have to admit, I was extremely skeptical at first—those press-on nails never seemed to work. Why would this be any different? But, I am now hooked and will probably never go back to wet nail polish again.

My mother-in-law has been doing a lot of traveling back and forth to my home for baptisms and such. And in order to make her trip comfortable, she needs to be extra organized and have all of her necessary “things” with her. So, her solution to this necessity is her Travelon Messenger Style Shoulder Bag. She not only has one, but two, of these incredible bags made by Travelon. We do a bunch of travel, ourselves, and I am really close to purchasing one of these great bags for myself before we head to the Caribbean this Fall.

We had a BBQ last night at my house and took out the Plate Caddies for everyone to use. They were such a hit that I wanted you all to know what a wonderful and useful product this is. I can’t tell you how many parties I’ve been to where I have to try and juggle (and this is truly what you do when that drink starts to fall) my plate, silverware, a napkin and eat all at the same time. Well, at my house, you will never have to do this again, because we have the Plate Caddy at your service!! The caddies come with a hole to put your silverware, napkin, and even a little colored tee that identifies that plate as yours! Very clever!

Do you know someone who seems to know it all? Or do you want to be that person? My suggestion for both is to order a subscription to Bottom Line Personal Secrets. This newsletter of sorts has various tidbits of information that can save you money, time, and headaches regarding issues about everything from grocery shopping to sleeping to road safety.

Even if you aren’t a photography fanatic, you’ll love this camera, simply for it’s simplistic mechanisms! I’m no Richard Avedon, but I love to take pictures to capture the moment. As the mom of two young ones, I always want to have a camera handy for that memorable moment that needs to be made into instant history. Along my travels, I found this little doozy in a neat gallery shop in Brooklyn last year. The Action Sampler Camera is an incredible gift for the photography enthusiast, scrapbook maker, or amateur historian in your life. The no-frills, non-automatic device uses four lenses to portray a collage of action shots, each about a quarter of a second apart. The results are artistic and interesting depending upon who or what your subject is.

Hmm, I love to sleep in. Just ask my husband. But life marches on and I have to get up early enough to get it all done. Breakfast, pack lunches, showered, kids dressed, oh yes, me dressed too, beds made, dishes done. And then we are off to start the day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all those moms out there reading this. I wish I’d gotten this entry in before today, but being a mom myself of two small children, life and its exercises often get away from me. But Dinner My Way is a company and concept that saved my life after my son was born in February, and if your husband forgot to honor you, as a mother, today, then let him read this entry SOON!

Spring is definitely here in Southern California and everything is in bloom. The gardener in me is alive and singing. So when perusing my usual gardening spots, I found these forest faces and fell in love. I have half a dozen people to whom I will send these as a “Spring is here gift!

Its spring here in Southern California. Woohoo! And we can’t wait to start grilling again. My hubby is master of the grill. He loves grilling up something yummy for dinner. But like most grill masters he asks the age old question, “Is this done?â€?

I love to read, but I hardly have time any more except just before bed. And I love reading in bed, but I love my husband more. So I don’t want to read in bed if he’s sleeping, the light would keep him awake. So when I found the Light Wedge, I loved it immediately.

When people think about sending something to a family member or friend for Easter, most people’s thoughts go directly to flowers or chocolate bunnies. However, I always want to find that gift that is away from the norm, but still shows that I care about the gift recipient. I can always find that at Gifts By Delivery. This year for Easter, I’m going to stay away from the flowers and go for the stomach with the Garden Bouquet of Cookies, one of many gourmet gifts from http://www.giftsbydelivery.com. These incredible gourmet treats are shipped the same day they are baked and come in an adorable tin that exemplifies Spring. I know that my family and friends will appreciate the thought and the food as they celebrate the new life of the season.

I’m a bit of a shutterbug. It comes with the territory: my art degree involved a lot of photography and I also am a parent, which means that when my daughter sneezes funny, I want to take a picture. Couple that with living in a city full of fascinating architecture and you’ve got a Tina who takes her camera everywhere. When Flickr, an internet photo sharing application, debuted, I signed up immediately.

When I was younger, I learned how to make my own perfumes and scents, a skill that’s been both a blessing and a curse. See, I can make scents that I love, but I can’t wear most retail perfumes. They’re not as appealing to me and most of them contain ingredients that make either me or my husband sneeze. I was a little more than thrilled to see that the The Body Shop offered a fragrance line called “Invent Your Scent.” Now I can create my own perfumes that aren’t offensive to either my or my spouse’s nose, and are distinctly unique. The Body Shop is now offering a collection of scents to mix or wear alone.

Some women collect shoes, some jewelry, I seem to collect purses. Now, I have cut back on my collection significantly in recent years. But I am always on the lookout for the perfect purse. I am always looking for the purse with all the bells and whistles and still small, simple and not too bulky. Wouldn’t you just love to ask the designer to add another pocket? Or pick the perfect fabric for you?

I have a soft spot in my heart for odd little creatures. I’m inexplicably drawn to pugs, to those strange little fish with the bulbous eyes (I think they’re called “Mollies”), and this Uglydoll. Ox in particular, because Ox always seems to be winking, like there’s some sort of conspiracy between us. Never mind that he’s green (one of my favorite colors), Ox may well be the only toy I’d have a problem sharing with my toddler. Not because I play with dolls (I’m just too mature for that), but because the Uglydolls are both toys and works of art.

I am an avid gardener so anything to make my garden a special place to relax, and “smell the roses is inviting to me. These heart stones are just what I mean. These are sweet heart shaped stones make a wonderful surprise for you or your guests to stumble upon. They will lighten your mood, warm your heart, a little reminder that there is love in the world.

Do you play computer games? Well, millions of Americans do, so you are not alone if you do. And if you don’t, maybe you should. I do. My husband does. My kids do too and they are under 5. The hardest part is finding the right game and games can be expensive too.

Ok, due to a life situation (military family) we have moved a lot in the last several years, including 4 cross country moves in that last 4 years. And some of our stuff has not made each trip, so we have storage units, a home that we still own in one town, cars, 4 houses. Well you get the idea, we have had a lot of keys to keep track of. And I am a systems lover, I always want just the thing to help me keep things organized.

I live in Southern California and it’s been so beautiful. It’s especially so since I walk for exercise. I usually walk about 4-6 miles a day, with my kids in tow in my double jogging stroller. I sit a lot because I work on the internet most of the day and into the evening, when I am not running after my kids. I take my exercise seriously and so I tend to buy the best equipment I can find. So when I went looking for a pedometer so I could measure my progress, I was very pleased when I found this one: the Omron Digital Premium Pedometer. Since I have a double jogger using an odometer proved difficult to attach and still be able to fold the jogger down. So I needed a pedometer. This one features the ability to measure steps even while attached to my belt clip which is great since I need to keep both hands on the stroller as I walk up and down the hills of Southern California. Yep its really hilly here. Check it out. This make a great gift for someone who’s trying to get in shape or someone who loves to exercise. Amazon has this for under $22. Omron Digital Premium Pedometer.

Do you know a man who’s a little punk rock but still fairly traditional? Not in that tie-sporting, oxford shirt and khaki sort of way, but in the Caber-tossing, stout drinking sense of things. A real man who’s not afraid to don a kilt to watch a soccer match or listen to some Social Distortion. If so, an AmeriKilt may be right up his alley.
